Geotechnical Engineer
Eng. Cintrón has been part of Jaca & Sierra since 2012, working in geotechnical engineering and environmental projects within Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and other Lesser Antilles. Clients of projects vary from government authorities to the private sector including designers, architects, contractors, pharmaceutical, universities, hospitals and hotels, among others. He has gained experience in geotechnical exploration, geophysical investigation, earthwork inspection, monitoring wells, vibration monitoring, pile load and anchor testing, foundation and landslide modeling, seismic assessment and liquefaction analysis, among others. He has also provided recommendations for shallow and deep foundations, ground improvement, retaining walls, sheet piles, excavation shoring, new developments, building/road expansions, bridges, docks, tanks, utility systems, solar arrays, slope/soil stabilization, erosion control and dredgeability, among others.
Experience includes concrete field and laboratory testing, geotechnical laboratory testing, quality of aggregates, cement treated base (CTB) testing and design, Non-Destructive testing, asphalt binder testing, pavement construction, pavement testing, among others.
